In the current power system, power is stably supplied by the control and operation technologies that have been cultivated over the years. However, the power system of the future

• ・Massive introduction of renewable energy
• ・Promote the use of new energy devices (storage batteries and electric vehicles)
• ・New control resources (demand response)

are expecting unprecedentedly large changes in the way we do business.

In our laboratory, we are working on research on advanced control and operation to maintain the balance between supply and demand and appropriate tidal current conditions, assuming the future power system in 2030 to 2050.
