Power generation expansion planning considering electricity markets
In Japan, various values of electricity such as kWh value, kW value, and ΔkW value have been redefined, and multiple electricity markets according to the values are being established. In order for power generation company to obtain sustainable profits from electricity market transactions, it is necessary to formulate long-term business plans based on accurate simulations of daily electricity transactions. In this laboratory, we are studying a new daily supply-demand scheduling, including a generator unit commitment (UC) scheduling that considers different markets and multiple power generation companies, and a new power generation expansion plan based on the profit and loss evaluation of the supply-demand scheduling.
